To manage your social media effectively, ManageMe may require access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts through Meta. We understand that granting access can feel sensitive, so this guide explains what access we need, why we need it, and how your accounts remain secure.
Why ManageMe Needs Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Access #
Depending on your service package, access allows us to:
- Create, schedule, and publish posts
- Manage captions, hashtags, and visuals
- Respond to comments and messages (if agreed)
- Message potential clients, leads, or customers
- Monitor performance and engagement
- Run or manage paid advertising (if included)
- Maintain brand consistency across platforms
Without the correct permissions, our ability to support you may be limited.
By accessing your Meta accounts, we can help ensure your short-form video strategy is consistent across all platforms.
Messaging Potential Clients, Leads & Customers #
When included in your agreed scope, ManageMe can support Facebook and Instagram messaging in a professional, on-brand way.
This may include:
- Responding to inbound messages and enquiries
- Managing comment replies and basic engagement
- Following up with warm leads
- Handover of sales-ready conversations (if agreed)
✅ All messaging is:
- Aligned with your brand voice
- Approved in advance or based on agreed templates
- Compliant with Meta’s platform policies
- Focused on genuine engagement, not spam
We will never send messages without your approval.
Types of Meta Access We May Request #
The type of access depends on how your accounts are set up and the services you’ve chosen.
1. Facebook Page Access #
This is the most common requirement.
We may request:
- Content access – to create and publish posts
- Message access – to manage inbox and comments
- Page admin access – only if full management is required
This allows us to work on your Page without accessing your personal Facebook profile.
2. Instagram Professional Account Access #
Your Instagram account must be set up as a Business or Creator account and connected to your Facebook Page.
Access may allow us to:
- Publish posts and reels
- Respond to comments and DMs
- Manage bio and profile details
- Review insights and analytics
3. Meta Business Manager Access (Preferred) #
Meta Business Manager is the most secure and recommended way to grant access.
Through Business Manager, we can be assigned:
- Page access
- Instagram account access
- Ad account access (if applicable)
This keeps ownership with you and allows access to be easily managed or removed.
How Your Accounts Stay Secure #
ManageMe follows Meta best practices to protect your accounts:
- We only request the minimum access required
- We do not ask for your personal Facebook password
- Access is role-based and auditable
- Permissions can be removed at any time
- All activity complies with Meta’s terms and policies
How to Grant Meta Business Manager Access #
- Log in to Meta Business Manager
- Go to Business Settings
- Select People or Partners
- Add ManageMe and assign the agreed permissions
- Confirm access
If you’re not sure whether you have Business Manager set up, we can help.
Once your social access is set up, we can focus on building the key pages your business website needs to convert those social leads.
