⏱ 4 min read

Conmara Estate partnered with ManageMe to refine their social media strategy and improve engagement through a clearer, lifestyle-led and community-focused approach. This case study outlines how competitor insight, a balanced content mix, and strategic execution led to measurable improvements in engagement, visibility, and audience action.

Conmara Estate is a residential development centred on lifestyle, space, and long-term community living. Their website reflects an aspirational brand focused on environment, progress, and quality of life. https://www.conmara.co.nz/

The Problem

Before ManageMe’s involvement, Conmara Estate maintained a consistent visual presence on social media, but engagement levels remained relatively low.

Content was polished and well branded, however it leaned heavily towards promotional messaging. Posting times and frequency were not optimised, and engagement across both branded and unbranded posts showed limited growth.

Performance before ManageMe

Meta Business Suite insights from 13 December 2022 to 9 August 2024 showed:

  • 674 three-second video views
  • 0 one-minute video views
  • 393 content interactions
  • 2 hours 8 minutes of total watch time

Despite regular posting, content was not generating strong interaction or sustained audience interest.

The Solution

ManageMe implemented a balanced, lifestyle-led content strategy, informed by competitor analysis and real engagement data. The goal was to increase relevance, strengthen community presence, and reduce over-reliance on brand-heavy posts.

Competitor social media monitoring

As part of the strategy, ManageMe reviewed Conmara Estate’s social content alongside key competitors, analysing:

  • Content themes and formats
  • Engagement patterns across branded and unbranded posts

Engagement observations

Clear trends emerged:

  • Posts featuring real people received higher engagement
  • Lifestyle and on-site progress updates outperformed purely promotional content
  • Highly branded posts consistently underperformed
  • Content connected to real environments felt more authentic and engaging

Strategic content execution

Based on these insights, ManageMe implemented a mix of branded and unbranded posts, making this the cornerstone of the strategy.

Key execution elements included:

  • Highlighting build partners by featuring exterior home imagery
  • Adding build partner logos where appropriate
  • Tagging build partners to extend reach and encourage shared engagement
  • Sharing lifestyle content around the local area, including cafés, shops, and amenities
  • Tagging local stores and businesses to strengthen community visibility
  • Promoting Conmara-sponsored events to reinforce local involvement and brand presence

This approach allowed Conmara Estate to maintain brand credibility while benefiting from broader organic reach through partner and community tagging.

Supporting content guidelines

To maximise impact, content was further refined by:

  • Prioritising lifestyle and on-site progress over brand-heavy messaging
  • Prioritising non-branded imagery when appropriate
  • Keeping captions natural, minimal, and easy to read

The Results

Following the implementation of this strategy, Conmara Estate saw clear improvements across key performance metrics.
